This Henry Purcell piece has lately become one of my listen-to pieces: the tender melody, matching perfectly with the meaning of the text -as a theatrical musical piece should be-. The way of naming of Alecto, one of the Furies, the tender way of saying that the music is the solution, despite the snakes, the free of the death and the unconsciousnes of the humans. The music starts and ends.
It has clearly become a revelation and a joy of piece to study.
